Have you been changing since you received Jesus Christ as Savior of your life? I'm talking about being developed in your godly character. Are you becoming more Christlike? Let me share this scripture with you in Romans 12:1-2 KJV" I BESEECH you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
The matter of concern here is that we cannot change or be transformed by our own strength. Sure, you can attend church, do Bible studies, get involved with all kinds of ministries, but that's not enough. The only way that we are going to get into a renewing of our mind is through the Word of God and with the dwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Remember that the Holy Spirit is not an "it" but the person of God living in you. We can't change by our own fleshly means, God must be in control of your life. Luke 17:33 KJV says "Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it."
So let's allow the Holy Spirit to have His way with us and not Satan. I have learned in my salvation experience that I cannot live the Christian life in my own strength, you will constantly stumble, and will produce a fruitless life. You can try harder, pray harder, preach harder but will eventually do ministry in "self". Zechariah 4:6 KJV says that " it's not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts."
So let us understand that we are powerless to transform daily or do anything for God without the Holy Spirit. He is essential for the renewing of our minds and for every aspect of life. Are you struggling? Then surrender yourself to God and allow the Holy Spirit to take charge and give you a life of freedom and fulfillment. God Bless you and remember the best is yet to come in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
God Bless you,
